When you mix talent and experience with a passion for footwear, you create a great marriage – a new brand and a fabulous shoe collection. That’s exactly what, Paola Vitali and Giorgio d’Arcano did when the pair created – Paola d’Arcano. Thanks to Anthropologie, I have discovered a new brand. The “Mosaic Camelia” is a an artistic, silk brocade print pump with a sturdy and comfortable 4.5″ heel and rounded toe that is all shimmer and style. Rich color combinations of cream and taupe never looked so good together in a modern design. Essential to add to your shoe wardrobe, this elegant pump is 100% made in Italy. Sure it costs a little more, but these pumps are sure to stand out. It’s spring, get noticed!

Looking ultra-chic today with the “Ciao Ciao” by Kenneth Cole. A sleek, lace-less oxford – a true borrowed from the boys look, with rounded toe, 1″ stacked heel and stitched detail. But it’s made extra special with the distressed, shimmery pewter finish. A spirited spin on a classic, after all, life is about having fun.

Today I won’t be surprised if people are wearing shorts and flip-flops. Spring has arrived, at least for the day. With temperatures expected to break the 60 degree mark, which haven’t been seen for 4 months, even I broke out a pair of open toe booties to celebrate…Rachel Roy‘s “Lark” bootie. Rachel Roy has a simple approach to design: help women feel smart and confident. This inventive pairing of visible stitched patchwork, combined with smooth black leather and striped snakeskin is a total fashion statement. They easily transition from day to evening. I love the 4″ snake striped heel –  I’m a sucker for stripes. The bootie not only looks great, it’s quite comfortable to boot! Be an individual and be confident in your own skin.

Everyone seems to be over  winter and anxious for spring. Chicago got a sneak peak of warmer weather followed by winter storm Vulcan. As much as I long for a change in seasons, I had to wonder… what if it was my last day on earth. This snow storm was the last thing I’d see…could I find the beauty in it, while everyone else is rushing around in their more important than mine life? There was such a strikingly graphic show of art with the snow coating the trees. Such a stillness, a welcomed quiet. And most of all…it was beautiful. For a moment in time –  simple beauty.

That is why I decided to forgo the boots today and wear a pair of pumps that are of equal striking beauty as the fresh fallen snow – white for right now!

The “Hallie” by Coach is a strikingly beautiful statement pump. It has a slender stiletto heel and pointed toe – and the profile of this shoe is stunning. It’s crafted in a lizard-embossed leather, giving a graphic kick to these kicks. Finished off with a silver ladylike bow. It’s very similar to my Prada pointy toe bow pumps, but at a Coach friendlier price point.

Mother Nature please end this winter weather, I’m craving spring. This weekend is daylight savings time, so spring must be near, although the arctic temperatures and snow covering the ground seems to disagree. I’ve spent the month of February wearing snow boots so March calls for putting a little “spring” in my step. The “Jocelyn” loafer by Coach, is an update of the classic loafer, borrowed from the boys look. A natural, pale leather slip on design, sans laces, boasts a mirrored-metallic toe cap and 1″ mirrored heel. These shoes are cute, comfortable, stylish and scream spring!
