NOW (known as Fru.it in Italy). The shoe line was created by the Tombolini brothers, Vincenzo and Silvano. Vincenzo handles the creative and administration sides of the company and Silvno is involved in the production. Originally known as Tombolini, the shoe line became Fru.it in 2007. This unique weathered vegetable dyed mary-jane pump from 2009, shows off their sleek design lines and amazing craftsmanship. I love the big round leather covered buckle, it plays off the hole punched detail on the top of the shoe and the strap. The rounded off, leather wrapped 3.5″ heel is very comfortable to strut in. The distressed look takes a pair of jeans to the next level of style.

These boots should come with a warning. If you are going to kick some ass, these are the ass-kicking boots to have in your wardrobe. Gucci‘s “Ursula” bootie showcases their signature horse-bit hardware, along with a very graceful and pointed toe and a 4.25″ squared off stiletto heel. But what I love about these mid-calf leather boots is the ankle cuff. It’s cut from one solid piece of leather and wraps with a clean design and purpose. These are boots that take time to put on so you can appreciate the details….they have an inner zip, cuff to the outside where a leather strap is wrapped through the hardware and secured by a round pin closure. Comfortable to walk in, these booties will be the focal point of your outfit. Sexy and stylish with a hint of dominatrix flair, these boots are bad-ass.

Sure football season has officially started and the calendar and fashion magazines all welcome Fall fashion but it finally feels like summer in Chicago, so I’m busting out the wedge sandals. Eileen Fisher designed shoes for 2014, and much to my surprise, they are quite fashionable. The “Dote”, an open-toe, t-strap vamp, wedge sandal from the spring/summer collection, smartly combines leather and mesh. The stretch mesh ankle band cleverly closes with velcro. These light-as-air kicks won’t weigh you down, and they go with everything in your wardrobe … dresses, skirts, shorts and jeans. The comfy wedge heel is 3.75″ high but with the 1.25″ platform, it feels like a low heel. You can walk all day in these wedges…and I have!
