Shoe du jour

With Labor Day signaling the end of summer and fall fashions emerging everywhere, it’s time for a bold, graphic statement with a touch of cuteness. So release the hounds…tooth! The “Jocelyn” hounds-tooth pump by Kate Spade New York. With a grosgrain bow perched atop the patterned fabric, patent leather trim and patent leather wrapped chunky 4″ heel, the pump is … simply adorable. Hounds-tooth is a pattern that never goes out of style and is the epitome of style. So class up your shoe wardrobe with the duo-tone textile pattern – it can transform that Little Black Dress or even your ripped jeans to a new level of couture.

After a long winter, the calendar says “open-toe-shoes,” but the weather in Chicago just doesn’t agree. So for a few more days, it’s still closed-toe season.

From the fall 2012 collection, the Marc Jacobs Rhinestone Buckle Pilgrim shoe.

Hailed as “eye-catching” and “quirky” or panned as “awful,” this is a shoe you either love or hate, but it definitely delivers the BLING to any outfit.  Think Alice in Wonderland meets Cinderella, a combination of sass and fairytale class. It’s artwork for your feet!

From runway to reality, this shoe is truly one of a kind. It definitely adds the “wow” to your shoe wardrobe.

It’s my first Marc Jacobs shoe, but I’m sure it won’t be the last! If you need some bling with a little less flair, check out the Dandy by Kate Spade.
