Shoe du jour

Does the day after Halloween have you guessing whether folks were actually in costume or couture? Jeffrey Campbell has the same witty sense of humor and his shoe styles keep you guessing. One of his more tame designs, the “Carnaby” is a playful interpretation of a classic, dare I say, saddle shoe. Although, this one is much more modern, stylish and hip. A versatile brogue-oxford with a super chunky, 2″ heel and traction rubber sole. Black cotton laces with punched eyelets finish off the look. This is definitely not costume nor couture, but it’s all Jeffrey Campbell, and stylish as all get out.

Shoe du jour

I’m still on vacation so when shoes are required, the perfect shoe that shouts “summer fun” is Jeffrey Campbell‘s menswear inspired “Twig” loafer from 2007. A whimsical spin on the classic oxford with color blocked bright and bold green leather, contrasted with cognac suede upper and laces. A 2″ heel is my version of a flat. A perfect shoe to add some “pop” to your outfit and make you smile.
